Recruitment Q&A with 2022 five-star Chris Livingston
Do you have a current list of schools you’re focused on?
Yes. Tennessee State, South Carolina, Ohio State, Georgetown, LSU, Memphis, Hampton University, Iowa State, Indiana, Louisville, Alabama, Florida , and any other school willing to give me an offer.
Which schools do you hear from the most?
Tennessee State, Iowa State, South Carolina, Memphis, Ohio State, Georgetown, and Hampton University.
Have you talked with anyone else in your class about possibly forming a package deal in college?
I haven’t talked to anybody but I have ideas of who I would want to link up with.
What schools have you visited so far, either unofficially, officially, or virtually (zoom)?
I’ve been to Ohio State but no real visits besides that. I’ve been to UAB but it wasn’t really a official visit. I’ve had a virtual meeting with the staff at Tennessee State.
Are there any schools that are currently recruiting you that have not yet offered that you expect to offer you sometime in the near future?
Kentucky, Houston, Michigan, Michigan State, West Virginia, and Clemson.
Name a few schools that aren’t recruiting you at all, that you would like to receive an offer from sometime in the future.
I would love to get an offer from any school that sees fit with me being successful there.
Schools like Auburn, Duke, Maryland, Georgia, UCLA, Oregon, different HBCU’s. I would love to see what these programs have to offer and have more options.
Is building a stacked recruiting class, and bringing top talent in with you a priority?
Not a big priority but that could be a plus.
Did you have a dream school growing up?
When I was younger it was Ohio state, yeah.
Do you ever feel any pressure to stay home and play for the “hometown”/in-state school?
Not at all. I’m going to do what’s best for my future.
Do you plan to cut your list of schools? If so, do you have a timetable for that?
Not until I have done more visits or in person meets.
Do you know how many you’ll cut it to? 10, 5, etc?
Probably 5 then down to 3 later on.
Do you have a timeline for a commitment?
No I don’t.
